Newest Teams in the National Football League

Over the years, the National Football League (NFL) has seen the rise of several teams, some of which are not in the league today. The level of competition in the league is quite high, with so much quality displayed from the players. The latest teams to join this American football league include the following.

1. Houston Texans

This American football team joined the NFL in 2002. The Houston based team was established in 1999, and they have a home ground in Texas known as the NRG Stadium. Since they joined the NFL, they have participated in each season and have won none.

2. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are a professional American football team that participates in the National Football League. They joined the league in 1996 after their establishment in the same year. They have won the league twice and also two Super Bowl championships in 2000 and 2012.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars

Currently headed by head coach Doug Marrone, the American football side joined the NFL in the 1995 season. They established the team in 1993. They play their home matches at the TIAA Bank Field which is in Florida. They are nicknamed as Jags, and the side has not won any league title.

4. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers Compete in the National Football League, and they first joined the competition in the 1995 season. The Bank of America Stadium located in North Carolina is their home ground, and they have participated in each season since their inaugural season. The team is owned by David Tepper, and they have not won any league title.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The team based in Tampa in Florida joined the National Football League in 1976 and has taken part in each season since then. They have had some good performances winning the league once and also a Super Bowl championship in 2002. They are also referred to as The Bucs, and their current manager is Bruce Arians.
